Around 2011 I started to teach the sketchbook as a bigger part of my classes- Real quick I realized that the sketchbook was a place where we could do the heavy, messy business of making things. "Sketchbook as Textbook" collects a 20 page comic serialized on my Instagram page in 2022- not so much a "how to" but a series of ideas and thoughts on what keeping a sketchbook does, the difficulty of keeping one active, and how you teach someone else to be creative.
